At the Summit, Shalini Misra, Global Digital Offerings Leader at Sopra Steria, joined a high-level panel discussion on “AI Driven Innovation & Ethics: Responsibility, Transparency, Governance”, organised by Business France. Moderated by Elise Tassin, Head of External Relations at Positive AI, the session explored how organisations can embed governance, transparency and accountability directly into AI systems by design, rather than treating them as post-deployment safeguards. Discussions focused on what trustworthy AI means in critical enterprise environments, the importance of structured governance frameworks, and how regulatory developments such as the EU AI Act are accelerating the shift toward sovereign and responsible AI architectures.

Shalini Misra highlighted that trust in AI is built on predictability, resilience, fairness, sustainability and transparency. For enterprises, this means designing AI systems that deliver consistent outcomes, remain robust in dynamic environments, minimise bias, and ensure that every critical decision is explainable.

At India AI Impact Summit 2026, Sopra Steria marked a significant milestone in Indo-French technological cooperation, in the presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and President of France Emmanuel Macron.

This vision was further reinforced by President Macron’s visit to the Sopra Steria booth, underlining the strategic importance of French and European sovereign technologies capable of innovating independently in a complex geopolitical environment.

As AI becomes a national priority, trusted cross-border partnerships anchored in governance, security and sovereignty will define how technology strengthens economic resilience and protects sensitive data. A concrete example of this approach is Sopra Steria’s enhanced payslip solution, developed in partnership with Mistral AI, combining European technological sovereignty, industrialization and real-world business adaptation to deliver secure, scalable and impactful AI outcomes.

The Sopra Steria booth also saw enthusiastic participation from students and young professionals, reflecting a growing demand to understand how ethical, trustworthy AI can be built from the ground up.

Ahead of the summit, Sopra Steria India hosted the official pre-summit Leadership Roundtable on Trustworthy AI, bringing together senior leaders and experts to discuss governance, accountability, and human oversight in AI systems. The discussion reaffirmed that Responsible AI is fundamentally a leadership responsibility.

One of the strongest highlights at the booth was IRIS, demonstrating how inclusive AI can translate intent into tangible, real-world impact—particularly for the deaf and sign-language-enabled community.

Equally, strong interest from defence stakeholders reinforced a clear message: Sovereign AI is no longer optional—it is essential for national security and digital autonomy.
